Our MBBR systems are designed to be highly efficient and practical for big projects in island environments like Sint Maarten and the Caribbean

• Compact and Easy to Transport: Only the secondary treatment unit needs to be shipped. The compact size of the treatment unit, thanks to advanced MBBR technology, makes transport and installation simple and cost-effective

• Concrete basin implementation : the primary tank chambers are to be built with concrete following supplied plans in order to use a maximum of local materia

• Tailored Designs for Cost Efficiency: Each system is specifically designed to meet the required standards for every project, adapting to variations in regulations and site conditions to maximize cost efficiency.

This system combines primary treatment (sedimentation, sludge storage, and buffering), MBBR technology, clarification,

and optional disinfection for efficient and safe wastewater management

1. Primary Treatment (Concrete Tanks):

• Sedimentation: Removes heavy solids and reduces organic load.

• Sludge Storage: Stores settled sludge for digestion or removal.

• Buffer Tank: Balances flow to the MBBR, ensuring consistent treatment.

2. MBBR Secondary Treatment:

• High-Efficiency Media: MBBR media provide a large surface area (2600 m²/m³) for biofilm growth, enabling compact reactor design.

• Compactness: Eliminates the need for large reactors or sludge recirculation, making the system ideal for space-constrained areas.

• Function: Breaks down organic pollutants (BOD/COD) and nitrifies ammonia.

3. Clarification:

• Removes biomass and remaining solids, producing clear treated water.

4. Optional UV Disinfection:

• Purpose: Eliminates remaining pathogens, ensuring treated water is safe for release or reuse.

• Applications: Treated water can be discharged safely into the environment or reused for irrigation, reducing water demand.
